You might think that musicians would want to wind down after performing in massive venues, but when Ed Sheeran broke the attendance record at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, he went out to celebrate. In doing so, he delighted the crowd at Santa’s Pub, known for its festive décor and karaoke. This location wasn’t chosen at random — Sheeran used to hang out here often when he lived in Nashville in 2013.
Still, the folks spending time at Santa’s Pub that night were shocked to see Sheeran walk in the door. In no time, he was leading the crowd with all sorts of music, including “I Want It That Way” by Backstreet Boys and “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction.
But the best moment of the night was when Sheeran sang one of his own songs: “Thinking Out Loud.” What made it so great was why he was singing it.
As chance would have it, a recently married couple, who were still donning a dress and suit, were there that night. This prompted Sheeran to serenade the happy couple!
We have a feeling that the newlyweds, and everyone else that was there, will be telling the story of that night for quite a while. This isn’t the first time Sheeran has spent time with fans in public, and we’re certain it’s not the last. We love to see it!
