If you’ve never been amazed by the capabilities of service animals, then you must watch this touching video of Danielle Jacobs and her dog Samson.
Danielle suffers from Aspergers syndrome, a disorder that often results in depressive episodes, panic attacks and self-harm. She recently posted this video of her during a self-harming meltdown and what it shows is remarkable.
In the clip Samson, her service Rottweiler, becomes alert to her self-harm and immediately takes action. He first jumps up on her and gently paws at her arms to get her to sit down. From there he puts his body between Danielle’s head and protects her from the destructive blows from her hand.
Then, after a few seconds Danielle hugs Samson as he sweetly licks her face. Danielle noted that it was very hard for her to open up her life to the public, but in her brave vulnerability she has inspired millions!
