Two ‘Voice UK’ contestants amaze in soulful battle of Macy Gray classic, leave judges torn.

The Voice UK has become a phenomenon. Like its US counterpart, the show was based on the original The Voice of Holland created by John de Mol in 2010.  The UK version started airing in 2012.

The winner receives £100,000 and a record deal with Universal Republic. But before you get there, contestants have to get through the five different stages: producers’ auditions, blind auditions, battle phase, knockouts, and live shows.

When talented contestants Deano and Megan Reece made it to the battle round, everyone know it would be a classic show down.  The two soulful singers revealed their talent in a beautiful battle of Macy Gray’s “I Try.”

It left the judges torn.  In a good way.
