Construction Worker Halts Job, Proves To Co-Workers He Can “Sing Like Pavarotti.”

Celebrating other peoples’ talents is a wonderful thing, but isn’t it a great feeling when someone surprises you with unexpected ability? Recently a 22-year-old Brazilian named Davi Oliveira stunned his fellow construction workers with his unbelievable talent: singing.

Davi works as a construction worker in Sydney, Australia, but– previously unbeknownst to his co-workers– he also studies music. “We were working with him for ages before we worked out he could sing like Pavarotti,” said Patrick Keating, the co-worker who filmed the video below. But once the normally soft-spoken worker admitted his talent, he had to prove it!

So, in the video below, Davi puts his jack hammer to the side and belts out an a capella version of opera star Pavarotti’s classic, Nessum Dorma.

“Well, on a sunny Monday morning in Syndey, the noise of the building site was powerfully pushed away by Davi Oliveira’s version of Pavarotti’s Nessum Dorma,” wrote Patrick in the caption of his video.

Patrick says Pavaroti is his idol and his dream is to someday sing in Sydney’s opera house. Hopefully this now-viral video will help him on his way to operatic stardom!

Check out Davi’s incredible voice below.
