9-Yr-Old Channels Inner Barbara Streisand For Jaw-Dropping “Don’t Rain On My Parade.”

With all the reality talent competitions on TV, you’d think we’ve seen it all by now, but there are still contestants who shock and inspire us. Take 9-year-old Cora Harkin, for example.

Cora recently made her debut on Ireland’s Got Talent. When she took the stage for her audition, her presence was refreshing. She didn’t show up with an intricate costume – just a cute dress, leggings, and a headband with poms made to look like little ears. She looked exactly like an average 9-year-old should.

Then, as soon as she opened her mouth and began singing Barbara Streisand’s legendary song, “Don’t Rain On My Parade”, Cora proved she is anything but an average 9-year-old.

As soon as the four judges recognized the classic tune, they could not contain their excitement. In fact, they were so excited it seemed to take them a moment to process that a little girl was nailing the cover.

Cora projected the song as if she were on Broadway, and had the stage presence to match. She hit every note with precision and never showed an ounce of self-consciousness.

Throughout the performance, Cora’s parents patiently waited backstage and watched her perform with nothing but pride in their eyes.

Eventually, Cora wrapped up the song (never missing a note) and received a standing ovation from the audience and all four judges.

It came as no surprise when all four judges voted “yes” for Cora to move on to the next round. The sweet 9-year-old simply smiled and gave a genuine “thank you so much” to the panel before running backstage to greet her parents with a big hug. We have no doubt this girl is going places!
