You’ve probably heard it said, “You spend more time with your coworkers than your family,” and for most people it’s true! So if you have coworkers who care about you, you’ve hit the jackpot.
This is definitely true for one Lawton, Oklahoma man whose co-workers at Chick-Fil-A went above and beyond to make him feel loved on his birthday.
The man, named James, is hearing impaired. So when his co-workers realized his birthday was coming up, they got together and secretly schemed together, coming up with the sweetest plan: they’d all teach themselves sign language in order to be able to sign the Happy Birthday song to James.
On James’ birthday, a fellow employee led him to the back of the restaurant where everyone stood waiting. They surprise him with their song… but when he sees them signing he is blown away.
“We love you, James, and we are so thankful that you are a part of our team!” reads the caption of the video below. “We look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with you!”
Comments on the video were touched by the Chick-Fil-A workers’ sweet actions.
All the comments from folks who know James say he couldn’t be more deserving of all the love.
…and James’ mom even added that the birthday surprise made her cry!
Check out the special moment below, and share!
We had the best time learning to sign the "Happy Birthday" song for our fellow team member who suffers from hearing loss. We love you, James, and we are so thankful that you are a part of our team! We look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with you! ???❤
