There’s no relationship quite like the one shared between siblings. They can be the best of friends one second, and mortal enemies the next — then forget their fight in an instant.
And who could be a more perfect example of this dynamic than Harry and Charlie Davies-Carr, who became online superstars at just 3 and 1 year old, respectively? We’re sure you remember when the adorable footage of the U.K. brothers went viral in 2007, becoming the most viewed video on YouTube at one point.
But if you’re in the mood for a little internet nostalgia, let’s go back 12 years. Little Harry is sitting with Charlie in his lap while their parents record. Baby Charlie chomps down on his finger, and Harry thinks it’s pretty funny. “Charlie bit me,” he says after giggling.
Then Harry, who apparently feels like playing with fire, sticks a finger in Charlie’s mouth again. But he doesn’t get such a kick out of it the second time around.
Charlie bites down harder, and Harry starts signaling his discomfort. “Ouch,” he says, but his little brother won’t let go.
“Ouch, Charlie,” Harry shouts before resorting to flat-out screaming. Finally, Charlie releases his brother’s finger as a relieved Harry momentarily sobs from the pain.
The angry older brother turns to Charlie, admonishing, “Charlie, that really hurt.”
Then, the tiny comedian responds by turning to the camera and giggling.
Charlie’s mischievous grin is so cute even Harry can’t stop himself from smiling. “Charlie bit me,” he repeats, emphasizing, “And that really hurt, Charlie, and it’s still hurting.”
It’s hard to believe, but the brothers are both teenagers now! Of course, they still get attention from that iconic video, which has since amassed over 860 million views. They celebrated the video’s 10th anniversary in 2017, recreating that hilarious exchange from years ago.
We could rewatch these cuties over and over… and over. Even after more than a decade, this classic will never get old — at least, for anyone other than Harry and Charlie, though we’re sure they’ll be sharing this video with their own kids when they get older.
