As 8-year-old Bailey Matthews neared the finish line at a triathlon in England, he was crossed with roaring applause and a moment he will never forget.
Bailey suffers from cerebral palsy – a degenerative disease that makes every day tasks difficult – but has more heart than most people out there.
His father, Jonathan Matthews, adapted a walking frame so Matthew could participate in physical activities – like this triathlon. Little did he know, his son was about to have the best day of his life.
Hundreds of spectators waited at the end of the course, and cheered Bailey on as he neared the finish line. In a glorious moment, Matthew cast aside his walker and ran toward the finish line unaided. It was a truly incredible feat.
