Every year, 3.9 million dogs enter animal shelters across the US. Of these, 1.8 million will be euthanized. Saddened by this fact, one man decided to make a difference.
Amy veteran Paul Steklenski founded the Flying Fur Animal Rescue with one goal in mind: save as many dogs as he could from high kill shelters.
With his own funding, Paul earned his pilots license and purchased a $70,000 plane. He spends his days rescuing homeless dogs from a dire situation and flies them straight to their new forever home.
Since May of 2015, Paul and his team have helped save over 1,657 furry friends;
It’s a noble cause that deserves our respect! Spread the word about this awesome organization.
