Empower veterans with physical disabilities to transform their lives through exercise and community.
with Adaptive Training Foundation
In January of 2014, David Vobora, a former NFL player turned personal trainer, met US Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills, a quadruple amputee. David offered to train Travis and get the veteran amputee back in shape. The pair started working out together, customizing and adapting workouts to the unique challenges posed by Travis’ injuries. Travis began to regain his former strength, and with it, his zest for life.
In September of 2014, David founded the Adaptive Training Foundation. The specialized gym works with disabled veteran athletes of all ages and abilities. No matter the challenge, David is determined to find a solution for every athlete that enters his door. ATF is changing lives, one rep at a time.
