Shy 3-Yr-Old Sees Officer Eating Alone & Approaches With One Heartwarming Request.

It’s no secret that little kids look up to police officers – and rightly so! Like superheroes, they protect us all and keep us safe from the bad guys.

Back in March, Jamie Hubbard and her son, TJ, were eating at McDonald’s when the little boy saw a policeman eating alone. He asked his mom if he could go over to the lonely officer – he wanted to show him his gratitude and admiration.

TJ is a huge fan of motorcycles and cops, so when he noticed that the officer was a motorcycle policeman, the three-year-old asked his mom if he could go over to him.

Thankfully, Jamie got a video of the whole interaction.

After getting up the courage, TJ walks shyly up to Officer Colter. Upon reaching him, the little boy looks back at his mom, as if to prompt her to make his introduction. (So cute!)

Jamie says simply, “He wanted to give you a hug.â€

The two embrace each other before TJ bee-lines it back to his table. You can tell the hug made his day. But that wasn’t the end of this adorable exchange.

In fact, ever since that initial interaction, TJ has developed quite the fondness for Officer Colter!

And according to his mom, whenever they visit McDonald’s he’s always disappointed when he doesn’t see his favorite policeman there.

It’s so heartwarming to see the respect and love TJ has for the police. They put their lives on the line for us every day. Watch the sweet exchange below and share to spread some love for our men and women in blue.
