We’ve seen so many wonderful individuals with vitiligo, a skin condition in which patches of skin gradually lose pigment. Now, there’s a canine role model making us fall in love all over again.

Meet Blaze! He’s a 10-year-old purebred Labrador retriever who lives in Finland with Santeri Frilander, his dad. The adorable pup recently went viral when Santeri shared a photo of him on Facebook.
Although Blaze was born with an all-black coat, as he grew up, his vitiligo patches began to appear. Here’s what he looked like when he was younger:

“The white color began spreading from a small spot on his ear,”Santeri said. “Interestingly, all of his brothers and sisters still remain single-colored.â€

While his appearance has changed, Blaze is a perfectly healthy dog who loves the great outdoors. Santeri explained that he’s a big part of their family.
“He’s always ready to join you wherever you go,” his dad said. “He even loves to travel inside a car.â€

After Blaze’s picture went viral, Santeri started an Instagram page just for the gorgeous pup.
“He likes to make people happy and put a smile on their faces,” Santeri added. “He is 10 years old now and has received a few nicknames because of his age, like ‘The Old Man’ and ‘The Funny Old Man.’â€

What a great reminder that everyone is incredible! Blaze may not look quite like his siblings, but that just makes us love him all the more.
