13 years ago,  The Black Eyed Peas released a song that we all needed to hear. In the wake of 9/11 and the racism that had already begun to fester in the heart of America, “Where is the Love” was a sobering reminder to love each other as friends and neighbors… it was a sentiment we all desperately needed.

In the years since then, things in the world have only grown more dire. Paris, Belgium, Turkey, San Bernardino, Orlando… the list just seems to goes on and on. Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas remembers something his grandmother told him right after 9/11 that we all need to hear.

“My grandma said a prayer and said that we shouldn’t stay at home afraid, when you’re being called on to do as much healing as you can, with the gift that was given to us.”

And so, 13 years after its first release, The Black Eyed Peas are re-recording “Where is the Love” all over again in hopes of inspiring the upcoming generation to change things for the better.

“The millennials are powerful. I don’t think they realize just how powerful they are. You’ve got to do your part in whatever capacity, because you’re representing your generation.”
