Marriage takes a significant amount of hard work, patience, and love. It’s not uncommon for relationships to end for a myriad of reasons, and we often look to those in marriages that endure decades for their secrets. Hollywood marriages tend to be particularly fragile as their private lives end up very public. Billy Crystal and his wife, Janice, met as teenagers and recently celebrated 54 years of marriage. According to Billy, staying together has been pretty darn easy.

Billy And Janice Crystal’s Marriage Endures Because They Respect And Love Each Other Immensely.
Billy told Fox News that he and Janice met when he was 18 and she was 17. He called himself “lucky.”
“Humor and trust and constantly be interested in what each of us are doing and respecting our separate lives and who we are,” he said.
Billy added, “But our common goal was always just to raise a beautiful family, which we have and continue to do,” he said. “And just respect each other. And she’s an extraordinary person.”
He told People he and Janice met in 1966 and married in 1970. Together, the pair raised daughters Jennifer and Lindsay, which changed everything.
“When I first became a dad back in [1973], Janice was working, and I was starting my career as a stand-up at night. So, during the day, I was ‘Mr. Mom’ and that changed my life totally.”
Billy Crystal added that he adores marriage and parenthood.
“The responsibility as a 25-year-old with an infant that can’t get through the day without you,” he told People. “When you learn that you can love something much more than yourself, it was the greatest experience in my life as a person.”
There is no one in the world Billy Crystal would rather do life, marriage, parenthood, and now grandparenthood with than Janice.
Billy Crystal told Kelly Clarkson in 2021 that he and his wife were made for each other. “We still love being together. We just have so much fun and keep discovering new things about each other. And I think that’s the most important thing is to still always be curious and find out more about each other.”
