That’s what happened to Meagan Nash when she took her smiling baby boy Asher, to an agency in Georgia. All of her hopes that her son wouldn’t be treated differently because of his special needs were shattered. In a country that celebrates diversity, children with Down syndrome still face an enormous uphill battle to overcome stigmas placed on them by society.
Meagan couldn’t sit idly by while her child was treated differently, so she shared the story on the Facebook page ‘Kids With Down Syndrome’ and it went viral.

OshKosh B’Gosh caught wind of sweet Asher’s modeling photos and agreed that he was just the right fit to represent their brand. They decided to make him the new face for their toddler holiday collection!

“I want people to be able to see my son or others like him in an ad and not instantly say, ‘Oh, he has Down Syndrome,’”Meagan Nash said. “I want them to say, ‘Oh I love that shirt that baby is wearing, I want that for my child!’â€
