Alice and Jerry Krenke have been showing their entire family what true love looks like for nearly 60 years. The lovebirds have been happily married for decades, rarely spending a night apart until Alice was hospitalized in Stratford, Connecticut, because of complications from a heart-valve transplant.
As the days dragged on, everyone kept an eye on Jerry, who wasn’t able to visit his partner because of COVID-19 restrictions. At long last, they found out Alice was going to be released from the hospital a few days early. Rather than telling Jerry, they decided to surprise him in the sweetest way!
In a video their granddaughter, Paige Hine, later uploaded to TikTok, we get to see the heart-melting moment when Jerry looks up and sees his bride in the entryway. After he recovers from his initial shock, he rushes over to embrace his wife. The two of them exchange tender words as their family looks on in tears, and their raw love and relief is beautiful to witness.
