If you know anything about cats, you’re probably familiar with hairless felines. Add in two eyes of different colors, and you have Akasha.
This unique sphynx has plenty of adoring fans online, but she’s not just famous for her fascinating appearance. She shares a special bond with her brother, Valak the bearded dragon, and we just can’t get enough of these unlikely BFFs!

Michelle Morris, Akasha and Valak’s mom, created an Instagram account for her loving little ones, where she frequently posts pictures of the dynamic duo lounging together and playing.
When asked about Akasha’s personality, Michelle told People she is the “sweetest” cat. While many passerby have said the sphynx looks like an alien (or perhaps a strange chicken), the proud mom doesn’t mind one bit. After all, she’s lucky to have a pet like Akasha!
“I think she would just play and be friends with anyone or anything,” Michelle added. That includes her pet dog and, of course, Valak.

Throughout Akasha’s Instagram page, there are pictures of the two of them hanging out in her cat tree. We also see them snuggling up next to each other, posing for hilarious photos, and having fun in an occasional video. They even got dressed up for Easter!

For anyone looking to adopt a wonderful cat like Akasha, Michelle wants you to know they’ll require some extra love and attention. Because they don’t have fur, their skin needs plenty of care.
“These cats also need to be protected from the elements so the sun could burn them and they must be protected from cold,” she said. “They lose heat through their skin so they are quite warm to the touch. They also have a higher metabolism and eat more than the normal cat.”
But ultimately, they’re worth it! Akasha brings joy to Michelle’s life every day – as do all her other pets!

While Akasha and Valak are both unique, it’s their fun-loving, laid-back personalities that make them perfect friends. We’ve seen plenty of unlikely pairs, but they’re definitely one of our favorites.
