Frantic Mom Is Separated From Child In Vegas Shooting, Then Sees His Photo Online.

Gunshots rang out into the night over the Las Vegas strip, and 5-year-old Aden Huser found himself alone.

Moments before the attack, Aden’s mom, Doris, took his sister to use the bathroom, leaving Aden with his aunt. She’d never guessed anything would happen at the Route 91 Harvest Festival while she was away from her son.

In the mass confusion and panic that soon ensued, Aden and his aunt were separated.

It was then that good samaritan Lindsey Rogers saw Aden standing alone, petrified and unmoving as the crowd swirled around him. Rogers grabbed Aden by the arm and took him to safety.

“I was nervous to take him because I knew that his mom would be devastated to find that her child was gone, but in the moment we thought that the best decision was to get as many people as safe as possible. The shots were so sporadic and it wasn’t stopping so we took a chance,” Rogers said.

Rogers led young Aden away from danger and found local law enforcement who suggested she post the above photo to social media in hopes of locating the boy’s family. Rogers and local law enforcement shared the picture which quickly made the rounds on Facebook.

In just a few hours time, Aden’s thankful grandfather saw the post and retrieved his young son from a nearby hospital.

“The second time I called and talked to my dad, he answered the phone crying. ‘They found Aden, I don’t know how he is or anything. I just got a phone call saying your grandson is at Sunrise Hospital,'” Aden’s mother, Doris said.

Doris and Aden were not reunited until the next day, where after a long embrace Aden made a simple request of his mom:

“Next time, can we all go to the bathroom together?”
