It’s easy to get so caught up in the holiday season that you forget about the kiddos whose parents may not be able to get them presents. All over the US, there are families under financial stress, which makes Christmas a little less jolly for their kids.

Adam Armstrong once lived in a neighborhood where that financial stress was apparent. Fifteen years after moving away from it, he returned with a really big surprise for the kids living there.

Prior to his surprise, Adam showed up to the Harris Gardens Apartments and spoke to the property manager, Sara Lewis-Weeks. He asked her if she’d give him the OK to bring toys to the kids in the apartment complex for Christmas, and she, of course, said yes.
Then, much to everyone’s surprise, Adam showed up in a moving truck that was stuffed full of $12,000 worth of toys. Even better, everything was assembled thanks to some happy helpers at the Walmart where Adam purchased the toys.

It didn’t take long for kids to start lining up with excitement as they wondered what their real-life Santa would hand them.
Adam told a local news station that he remembered having good Christmases as a child, and wanted to spread that same Christmas spirit to kids in less fortunate neighborhoods. After stopping at the apartment complex, he planned to stop at two other spots where he knew the kids would appreciate his gifts the most.

Adam was more than happy to do this for the kids. He told his local news station, “To watch the kids, the expression on the kid’s face I mean that’s just priceless”.
