Wife’s Rings Stolen At Nursing Home So Husband Secretly Schemes For Perfect Gift.

After nearly 7 decades of marriage, Ethel Roberts’s parents would do it all over again.

Ethel recorded the moment when her elderly parents had an informal renewal of their wedding vows 67 years after they first said, “I do.” Now that the clip is on YouTube, it’s quickly going viral due to the sheer beauty of the moment, along with the glimpse it offers us of everlasting love.

“Recently Mom fell and injured her left hand,” Ethel shared. “She was unable to wear her wedding rings because of the swelling. She took the wedding rings off and placed them in her jewelry box on her dresser in her room at the nursing home. They went missing shortly thereafter.”

Undeterred, Ethel’s father secretly asked his daughter to take him shopping for a new engagement ring and wedding band. At the nursing home’s Christmas celebration, the family gathered to exchange their gifts. That’s when Ethel’s dad handed his wife a small box. After struggling to open it (eventually passing it to her daughter for help!), she opened the box to reveal the sparkling gift inside.

“There wasn’t a dry eye in the room,” said Ethel of the touching moment when her mom realized what her husband had done. Instantly moved to tears herself, the elderly lady turns her face away to gather her emotions as her husband looks on with a sly grin on his face.

He then leaned in to kiss his bride one more time.

Sixty-seven years of wedded bliss is an incredible accomplishment, and this is one man who truly understands how meaningful that band of gold really is. It’s not just a piece of jewelry; it’s a symbol of the unbreakable bond between two people. The circle of the ring is like their love — infinite, strong, and permanent.
