Feedback is one of the most important processes in our professional lives. It helps us grow to become more effective and achieve our goals. But you never hear about feedback for life at home!

This is a sad reality because, without feedback, we’ll keep doing what we think works or what gives us the fewest negative results.

Feedback couldn’t be more important in the home, especially for parents, because they have the toughest jobs in the world! So, here are six ways that parents can make their kids feel more loved from my perspective as a son (not a parent, yet!).

1. Be present

Obvious, I know. But from my perspective there is nothing more meaningful for a young child than having Mom and Dad fully engaged. That work email or Facebook message can wait. Trust me, we notice where your attention is focused.
