The way we perceive other people is almost never who they actually are inside.
It’s natural to make subconscious judgments of someone else’s character, but those preconceived notions affect every relational aspect with every person you meet.
This social experiment entitled “decoy” is one of six to come out of The Lab. It’s shaped around the idea that a photograph -and perception- is shaped by the photographer -in other words, us- and not the subject on the other side of the camera lens.
In the video below, six photographers were invited to photograph one man. They didn’t know that each was told a different story about his background… and the results are absolutely eye-opening.
