Hidden Just 3 Inches Under Ground, This Decades-Old Mystery Stunned One Man Into Pure Delight.

Mementos are a brilliant way to remember where we’ve been and where we want to go. Some have monetary value and others are purely sentimental, but for Sargent Hill, his beloved high-school class ring was a bit of both.

He got the ring upon graduation from Eastern Hills High School in Ft. Worth, TX, but soon after lost it at Texas Wesleyan University during his freshman year.  The loss happened 50 years ago.

He assumed it was gone forever… that is until he heard a knock at the door.

A construction consultant working for Hill’s former university found the class ring buried in the dirt inches below the surface and spent the next few hours cleaning it up. Led by a few clues and initials scrawled on the inner band, he was finally able to track down it’s owner.

Watch the reunion… it’s pretty special!
