Torri Biddle is 19 years old and suffers from congenital limb deficiency. She was one of about 2,250 children born each year with significant limb reduction. In her case, her right arm only grew to her elbow, leaving her without a hand.

In the fall of 2013, her friends created the campaign #HandforTorri with the hope of attracting attention from someone who might be able to help. The Buried Life, Invisible Children and Hanger Clinics all responded with great enthusiasm, eager to help Tori.
We are continually amazed at the power of social media to connect people all over the world to make a difference. But we can’t undervalue the initiative and persistence that Torri’s closest friends displayed. This was the act of love that kicked off the movement that led to her receiving the life changing prosthetic hand.
