2,131 Books Lined Up As Dominoes Topple Over For A Classy World Record

Reading boosts creativity and expands your thinking.

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Suess

“The books used to make this domino chain were either donated or are out of date and no longer in the library’s collection. They are now being sold by the Friends of Seattle Public Library to help raise money for library programs and services.”

This world record has since been broken twice! It was first smashed in Antwerp, Belgium in November 2013 with 4,845 books. The record was then broken a second time by the Czestochowa School of Economics in southern Poland with 4,998 books on March 17, 2014.
