Countless books, articles, and blog posts have been written about how to introduce a new baby into a family where there is already a child or children. While siblings share a special bond, it’s natural for there to be some jealousy when the new baby arrives.

But for 2-yr-old Madilyn, there was nothing but pure love and awe when she met her baby sister for the first time.
In the video below, mom Cynthia Smith films as dad Murdock brings little Madilyn to the hospital to meet her sister, Olivia Marie.

It’s clear the Massachusetts family was well prepared to finally meet Olivia; Madilyn is wearing a t-shirt that says “Olivia’s Big Sister” and Murdock is sporting a “Madilyn and Olivia’s Daddy” hoodie. Not only that, Olivia came prepared with a toy cow purchased at the hospital’s shop.
The moment Madilyn sees her sister, it’s the sweetest thing. “Look at her!” she says. “She came out of your belly!”

“She is normally very animated and loud, so her sweet reaction, quiet ‘coos’, and the touching her own heart was priceless,” said Cynthia.
