This group of New Zealand school boys gathered at their beloved teacher’s funeral to do something very special: perform a powerful Maori war dance in his honor. The result is breathtaking.
These tribal dances, or Haka, are traditional symbols of a tribe’s pride, strength and unity. This school’s unity is demonstrated in a powerful way through the dance. Notice the emotion and precision of the movement.
It is a stirring sight to see the students put on such a fierce display of devotion to each other and to their long-serving teacher, Dawson Tanatea.
Watch the video below and share it’s powerful gesture with others.
