10-Yr-Old Robotic Dancer Wows Ellen With His Dancing, But His Interview Melts My Heart!

Anyone who watches the Ellen Show knows she loves to dance. So it was no surprise when she invited 10-year-old Merrick Hannah on to show off his robo-inspired moves.

Merrick jumped on-stage after an introduction by Ellen and started right into his awesome routine. The young kid started and stopped in a classic version of The Robot, made famous by the late, great Michael Jackson. During his incredible performance, Ellen’s DJ and professional dancer tWitch had some pretty big reactions.

Merrick was out of breath as he joined Ellen on stage, and gave her a little insight into his inspiration. The young guy has only been dancing for a year and a half, but was inspired by a childhood fascination with robots. He loved them so much that eating breakfast, walking around the house and any other situation imaginable became an opportunity to do it like a robot would.

Merrick took his love for robots to the dance floor after seeing his favorite dance crew the Jabbawockeez perform on America’s Best Dance Crew.

His favorite thing about competitive dance is pretty awesome, simply “crushing big, tough guys who think they’re going to beat me.”

Check out his incredible moves in the video below.  What a fun kiddo!
