Veteran Woke Up Without Legs Or Arms. His Incredibly Inspiring Story Will Amaze You.

United States Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills was on his third tour in Afghanistan when he was caught in an IED blast just four days before his twenty-fifth birthday. In a true miracle, he survived. Unfortunately, that came at great cost. Travis woke up in a hospital and quickly realized he had lost both of his arms and legs. With this, he became one of the only five soldiers from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq to survive a quadruple amputation.

At first, the reality of the situation devastated Mills. He even told his wife and family to take everything and move because he couldn’t be what they needed. He felt useless and at a pit of despair. But with love and support from his loved ones, Travis’ perspective completely shifted.

He started working to be the husband and dad he was supposed to be and could be. He also went chose to solely go to rehab rather than take any more pain killers. But more than that, when doctors said it would take him three years to recover, he wouldn’t allow that.

After 13 months, he accomplished more than they’d ever thought possible. His optimistic attitude sums it up perfectly: “Instead of saying ‘Look, it could be worse,’ (you) just know it will always get better.”

Take Travis’ words of wisdom, incredible attitude and never-give-up train of thought and apply it to your own life.  Share his inspiration today!
