Texas Diner Sets 1 Table Where No Customers Can Sit.

Adorned with a white linen tablecloth, full place settings, and U.S. and Texas state flags, this table looks as if it was prepared for some kind of celebration.

But take a closer look at the RSVP card, and it becomes heartbreakingly clear this set-up is meant to serve as a memorial, a table of honor.

The table was set last summer in honor of four police officers — Officer Patrick Zamarripa, Officer Michael Krol, Sgt. Michael Smith and Senior Cpl. Lorne Ahrens — and one Dallas Area Rapid Transit officer, Brent Thompson, who’d died in the line of duty the previous week.

The five men were killed by a sniper who launched an attack on Dallas police on July 7, 2016.

Run by the Dallas Police Association, the Assist the Officer Foundation has provided financial support to hundreds of police officers and their families when the officer faces a serious or life-threatening condition.

In the event of an officer’s death, help is provided immediately to surviving family members, and counseling services have also been available for more than a decade.

With their beautiful table, Texas Roadhouse is not only remembering the fallen in a beautiful way but are also raising money for a truly worthy cause!
