The Surprisingly Heartwarming Reason Terry Crews Built His Own Computer.

A professional athlete, actor, portrait artist, and all-around awesome guy. It appears anything former NFL linebacker Terry Crews sets his sights on, he accomplishes.

And that includes joining the hallowed ranks of the PC Master Race, a months-long foray on which he embarked last summer.

“I went on this thing with Snoop Dogg and Jamie Foxx, we were playing Battlefield 1,”he said. “And man, I was hooked. It was really, really fun.â€

His fascination picked up steam last summer when he announced his intention to build his own gaming PC:

The project, he said, would allow him to spend more time with Isaiah.

Terry’s curiosity was piqued one day when he noticed his young son watching a video of other people playing video games. It was a foreign concept he didn’t understand at the time, but if it was important to his son, then, of course, it was important to Dad.

A lot of parents would probably shrug and continue doing whatever they were doing, but not Terry.

“I said, ‘I need to be a part of his world. I need to find out what he’s about.’ Because you know, so many times parents are like, ‘Okay, come on, you’re gonna come to work with dad. Come and do what dad wants you to do.’â€

“And I realized I didn’t want to be that guy. So, I asked him what he liked and what he was about. And he was like, ‘I love games. I love video games. I love this whole thing.’ So I said, listen, not only are we going to get into the games, we are gonna build our own computer.â€
