Strangers Make Beautiful Music Together At Parisian Train Station, Improvised Beauty At Its Best

Have you ever happened upon a street musician in action? If you’re from a big city the sight may be old hat, but for a small town kid like me, the moment can be beautiful indeed.

The French train company SNCF decided to put pianos right in the middle of select train stations across Paris. The pianos -known as “À vous de jouer”pianos, or “It’s your turn to play” – have been sprinkling busy stations with beautiful melodies since March, but the improvised duet captured in the video below is special indeed.

Truly breathtaking, actually.

Here’s the Takeaway: It can be easy to forget to stop and smell the roses, or hear the music as it were. Remember this moment next time you see a street musician playing their heart out… you just might leave with more than you bargained for -and hopefully lighter pockets.

Watch the video below and share if this improvised musical moment reminded you to enjoy simple, beautiful things again.
