Of all the domesticated animals out there, cats are probably the only ones that could take care of themselves just fine if humans were to simply disappear. For at least one cat, that includes opening (and probably closing) doors.
Kristian Svenson’s cat Mulder has figured out how to open his bedroom door. So when the kitten’s out for a midnight stroll or wants someone to play with, he just lets himself in and wakes Kristian. While most cat owners know that it’s pretty pointless to try and outsmart the feisty felines, Kristian decided to give it the old college try.
Mulder is pretty adept at opening doors, as you can see.

When Kristian had enough of the kitten’s antics, he decided to fight back.
Maybe it hadn’t occurred to him to just change his handle to a doorknob, or it was a thought he had in a sleepy stupor, either way, he instead placed a makeshift moat in front of the door.

But did his genius plan work? Of course not.
