Teased For Having “More Rolls Than A Baker,” Woman Drops 50+ Pounds By Cutting Out 2 Basic Foods.

One day in high school, standing outside a bakery during lunch, Louise Papprill’s friend jokingly commented that she “had more rolls than the baker man”— an especially embarrassing thing to say with several of their friends standing nearby. But Papprill was even more embarrassed after thinking about what he’d said, because she realized he was right.

She went out the next week and bought some diet pills. Unsurprisingly, they weren’t the magic bullet she’d hoped for.

Discouraged, Papprill found herself continuing her bad habits. She devoured entire packages of cakes and other sweets in one sitting and blew off exercise altogether.

And the cycle only worsened during her first year of dorm life at Sheffield Hallam University. Her meals consisted of pizza, kebabs and other comfort foods — “I would eat enough in one sitting to feed two people”— and nights out involved consuming copious amounts of alcohol. And, of course, she steered clear of the gym.

“I was exhausted walking anywhere, and my thighs would chafe just by stepping out of the shower,”she reminisced of those years. “Clothes didn’t fit and jeans were the most uncomfortable things to wear.â€

By the middle of her sophomore year, Papprill weighed more than 180 lbs.

The turning point came at the end of 2012, when one of her closest friends took her aside; she could have easily lost their friendship over broaching such a sensitive subject, but she could see Papprill was on a downward spiral. Her mom noticed, too, when she came home for Christmas break, and was so concerned that she had a similar conversation.

Only then did Papprill truly set her mind to losing weight and changing her entire lifestyle. Cutting out cheese and chocolate for starters, she began eating a healthier diet and hitting the gym with her friends. And she stuck with it!

Now, four years later, the 25-year-old weighs a healthy 126 lbs. and stands as a source of inspiration to others facing their own weight-loss issues.

“I can finally say I love my body and I am no longer ashamed when I look in the mirror,”she said, and going to the gym is no longer a chore but rather something she truly looks forward to.

“It’s so important to find something that you enjoy, that way it’s much easier to get the results you want,”added Papprill, who now works as a trauma therapist for families who foster and adopt children.
