Jim Carey Uses Harmonica For Bizarre Impression & Johnny Carson Bursts Out Laughing.

Jim Carey’s comedy is and always has been wacky, over-the-top, and pretty out there. When he first hit the scene, many people doubted that his brand of humor would last or supposed it might get old quick.

Well, it’s been 35 years since Jim Carey’s first-ever TV appearance on Johnny Carson’s “The Tonight Show” in 1983, and the comic is still a household name.

Speaking of Carey’s first-ever appearance on American television, in 1991, Johnny Carson invited Carey back a second time. The interview that followed was about as weird and side-splitting as you’d imagine!

Here’s Carey – in all his ’90s glory.

Just look at that jacket. The height of fashion.

He wastes no time launching into an impression of cartoon character Wile E. Coyote, a performance which prompts Johnny to remark “You have a wide range of things you do. You’re pliable. You’re about 160 pounds of Silly Putty.”

From there he dazzles with a reenactment from “Poltergeist,” only something Jim Carey would attempt.

“You must’ve been killer when you were dating,” the host jokes.

But as weird as he is, Carey does have one moment where he gets real, talking about fatherhood. It’s sweet to see, but Johnny still jokes (we think) that Jim is a “deeply disturbed person.”
