Dad Questions Purple Toddler, Dies Laughing When She Throws Mom Under The Bus!

As children graduate from babyhood into the toddler years, they look at the world with fresh curiosity and a need to explore. Of course, this curiosity tends to lead to some hilarious conversations with mom and dad as well as the occasional mishap.

Recently, Dad Rod Hummel found this to be true firsthand as he discovered his children had gotten into a parenting “code red.”

Or rather, in the case of his daughter Hailey, a “code purple.”

After setting up Hailey and her brother Jake with a pencil and some paper for drawing, Rod moved to helping his son Ethan with his homework.

“I thought I had confiscated all of the markers,” Rod wrote on Facebook. “I was wrong.”

Soon he discovered that Hailey had found a purple marker and had decided to get very creative.

Purple marker covered her arms down to her fingers like long, elegant gloves. Not wanting to leave her face out of the art, Hailey had made sure to draw purple lines around her forehead, chin, cheeks, and nose.

When Rod asked why Hailey had done what she did, she quickly found someone to blame: Mom.

“Mommy said I could color my own body,” Hailey told her dad in the video. Her answer was so hilarious not even Rod could hold back from laughing in the video.

Although Hailey started the video pretty upset about what she had done to herself, by the end of the video she has totally come to expect that a purple face and arms will be her new normal. As Rod begins to walk her to get a bath started, Hailey only seems concerned about eating the one banana that is left.

It took a total of one hour to clean up Hailey and get the purple off of her body. Even after all of the scrubbing, some faint purple could still be seen on her face.
