Garth Brooks Serenades Woman Battling Cancer After Spotting Her Clever Sign.

Imagine being a “mega fan” of a music celebrity, someone whose music you’ve loved your entire life. You get the chance to go to their concert, and through good fortune, you get a front-row seat.

And then, they spot you, smile, and proceed to make your evening one you’ll never forget. That’s exactly what happened to Willie Krauss Gilmore, a superfan of country music star, Garth Brooks.

It’s been a tough year for Willie. As Inside Edition reports, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After several months of intensive chemotherapy treatment, Willie’s hair has only recently started to grow back.

When she got the chance to see Garth Brooks in concert, she was thrilled at the opportunity. She and her husband weren’t able to get tickets anywhere near the stage, but it didn’t matter. She came, carrying a sign that read, “Living with cancer, dying to see Garth Brooks.”

As luck would have it, a concert promoter spotted Willie’s sign, and then quickly ushered her and her husband towards the very front of the stage.

And then this happened.

Brooks saw Willie and her sign and then got down to serenade his pleasantly stunned fan. He even touched her head!  Willie said, “[Brooks] told me that he loved me, that I was beautiful, and to never stop fighting.” She promised the country music star that she wouldn’t.

To make the night even more magical, Brooks even gave her his guitar after the song ended.
