You might not know it, but for many of us, E.G. Daily was the actress of our childhood.
Upon first glance, she looks slightly familiar, but when you hear her voice, alarm bells will probably go off in your head. But when the judges on “The Voice” listened to Elizabeth sing, instead of hearing her years and years of voice acting experience, they just heard her incredible talent.
You might know Elizabeth or E.G. from her character on Rugrats — she was Tommy Pickles.
Or perhaps you were a Pee-wee Herman fan — she played Dottie in “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure.”
But few people know that E.G. is a phenomenal singer, too. Deciding to get back into her passion, the actress took a chance and auditioned for “The Voice” back in 2013.
During her passionate audition, E.G. belted out Faith Hill’s “Breathe” and got the attention of two judges — Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green.
She went on to join Blake’s team and made it quite far, but was eventually eliminated. Fortunately, that hasn’t stopped E.G. from continuing to sing.
As E.G. says in the below video, “no matter what age you are, you’re never too old to chase your dreams.” We’re so glad she did or we might never have been graced by the beauty of her singing voice.
Watch her audition below and prepare to be amazed. Be sure to share to spread awareness of this woman’s many talents!
