Refugee Breaks Down In Airport, Collapses During Reunion 4 Yrs In The Making.

In 2012, a Sudanese woman arrived in Fort Worth, pregnant, with two young children at her side. Her husband was stuck in a refugee camp, not believing that he would ever see his family again.” That’s when a Molly and Mary Claire, two moms from Forth Worth who volunteer with refugees through The Village Church, stepped in.

They came alongside the woman– named Alik– to help. For 3 years, they were friends to Alik, helping her adjust to life in America; they were even there for the birth of child. But the most important thing Molly and Claire did for Alik was pray that she and her husband could reunite.

For 4 years, Molly and Mary Claire prayed and fought for Alik, advocating for her family.

Meanwhile, Dyan– Alik’s husband– anxiously waited in a refugee camp in Africa. He had become separated from his family as they fled war-torn Sudan, and now he was stuck with no documentation proving his marriage. As a single man, he was the last priority on the list of families who needed housing in America. Little did he know, Molly and Mary Claire– two Texan women who he’d never met– were fighting for him from thousands of miles away.

And their fighting paid off!

In the video below, Dyan is finally reunited with his family. As he holds his 3-year-old for the first time, everyone– Dyan, Alik, their sons, and the women who made it happen– is in tears.

Watch the beautiful reunion below and share!
