Off-Duty Cop Dresses As Batman, Stops Real Thief At Texas Walmart.

Damon Cole is a full time police Officer, but you can often find him sporting a uniform other than the one required of his Fort Worth, Texas department.

That’s because Cole– known on Twitter as @HeroesAndCops— travels across the United States “seeing children with cancer and other illnesses on my own time & money.”

He does everything from visiting classrooms dressed as Iron Man…

…to brightening kids’ days while dressed as The Hulk.

But a favorite of both Cole and the kids has to be Gotham’s hero… Batman!

Cole recently donned his Dark Knight disguise to do some community outreach at a Texas Walmart. While Cole was there, employees saw a man shoplifting four movies. Of course, they went to Batman for help.

‘Batman says, “I want you to know I have this Batman costume on but I’m an off-duty police officer,'”

I was at Wal-Mart as Batman for kids day. This male attempted to steal 4 DVD’s,I stopped him as Batman. He asked me for a selfie as Batman. pic.twitter.com/Ut2LNg5usb
