“It is a great privilege for us to offer an orphaned cub safety, nurturing and a chance to return to the wild.”

Last week, we stumbled upon the story of Jimbo the grizzly bear and his best friend, Bearkeeper Jim of the Orphaned Wildlife Center in Otisville, NY. The video of Jim giving 1,400 lb Jimmy a back scratch has been shared over 170,000 times in just 8 days… it’s a priceless moment  that show’s how much bearkeeper Jim loves his charge.

Jim and Susan Kowalczik founded the Orphaned Wildlife Center in 2015 and have already rescued 11 different bear cubs – also a duck named Duckie that can no longer fly. These animals have found safe haven with the Orphaned Wildlife Center, but the there are many more that still need rescuing.

That is why the Orphaned Wildlife Center was created: To provide safety and nurturing to animals that are truly orphaned, preparing them to be returned to the wild.

It is a noble cause that deserves everyone’s respect! So help support the Orphaned Wildlife Center in their mission to give these beautiful animals a second chance. All you have to do is watch and share InspireMore stories.  The more you do that, the more advertisers pay us, and the more we are able to give to this important cause!  Get started today; let’s make a difference.
