Eliminate food deserts for underserved Americans.
with L.A. Green Grounds
Food deserts are defined as parts of the country devoid of fresh fruit, vegetables, and other healthful whole foods, usually found in impoverished areas. There are over 23.5 million people in the US that live in areas without access to proper nutrition.
Ron Finley, also known as the Gangster  Gardner, is on a mission to change that in his neighborhood in Southside LA. He decided to turn empty lots and sidewalk medians into shared food gardens for his neighbors.
That is why L.A. Green Grounds was created: to eliminate food deserts in Los Angeles and to inspire other cities to do the same.
It’s a noble cause that deserves everyone’s respect, help us eliminate food deserts in the US. All you have to do is watch and share InspireMore stories. The more you do that, the more advertisers pay us, and the more we are able to give to this important cause! Get started today; let’s make a difference.
