Young Woman’s Email To Car Insurance Agent Has Internet Rolling On The Floor.

We can all admit it: Insurance can be confusing.

Who really enjoys doing research on premiums and deductibles? Who wants to think about liability? Well, at least one young lady is owning her recent – yet innocent – mistake with her insurance company by sharing her hilarious tale on social media.

In order to save money, Alyssa Stringfellow wanted to be added to her ‘Memaw’s’ car insurance policy. It seemed like a simple process. Memaw called her insurance agent and got the ball rolling. Alyssa was soon notified that she needed to send the agent a few things: her driver’s license number, date of birth, and a “picture straight on and a picture taken from each side.”

Alyssa quickly obliged, sending this ‘straight’ picture.

And of course, her ‘side’ pictures as well.

Alyssa happily sent over the pictures and went on with life.

It wasn’t until the next day that she checked her email and received this response, an email which likely led to quite the red face.

That’s right. The agent was asking for pictures of Alyssa’s car. Not her. Of course.

Alyssa laughed it off, calling it a “really, really…REALLY blonde moment.”

“As you can see, I didn’t send pictures of my car…I sent him pictures of myself!

I also had texts from my Memaw saying: ‘Alyssa Rachael, did you send him pictures of YOURSELF!? It was supposed to be of your car!’

So he had called my Memaw and told her, and apparently they laughed about it on the phone for a good five minutes.

Needless to say, I was ridiculously embarrassed; and everyone at work had a good laugh at my obvious misinterpretation.”

Alyssa also noted that her mom took the pictures and that both of them had discussed “why in the world” an insurance agent would need pictures of her.

“You know what they say, you either have book smarts or street smarts, and I definitely do not have the latter!” said Alyssa.
