The first-ever “In Goop Health”summit was held June 10 in Culver City, Calif., and attendees got to spend the day mingling with the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Drew Barrymore while they discussed a variety of wellness issues.
Award-winning actress Cameron Diaz was among the featured speakers in the keynote panel, “Balls in the Air,”which focused on the frenzied juggling act we’ve all performed to get through a hectic day (or month, or year).
During the segment, Diaz touched on her decision to wait until her 40s to get married.

But maybe “decision”isn’t the right word. That’s just how long it took for her to find The One– and now he’s well worth the wait.
“I think it’s a matter of I just hadn’t met my husband,†she said. “I had boyfriends before, and there’s a really, really distinct difference between husbands and boyfriends.â€
Diaz, then 42, married Good Charlotte lead guitarist and vocalist Benji Madden, then 38, in a private ceremony in 2015. In her wedding toast, Diaz told guests “I waited because I didn’t want to settle.”

“He’s just my partner in life, in everything,” she continued at the In Goop Health summit. “I’ve never had anyone who supported me so much and gave me so much courage to be myself and to really explore myself. My husband has been able to show me what it’s like to… be an equal.â€

“We’re both just weird enough for each other. He’s my perfect little weirdo and I’m his perfect little weirdo.”
