Distressed Schoolgirl Is Stranded At Wrong Bus Stop, But Kind Bus Driver Refuses To Leave Her Side.

No one likes it when public transit runs late, but one day last week, passengers of bus #16 in Leeds, Northern England were more than happy for the delay.

An unidentified bus driver of the First Bus Service went above and beyond for a grade school girl in distress. The young lady, about 11 or 12 years old, found herself at the wrong stop at 7:15 Monday morning and would certainly be late for school if it weren’t for the kind hearted driver.

The driver promised the girl she wouldn’t be late for class. Then he personally called a taxi to meet them at a nearby grocery store, and escorted the young girl to the pick up location.

If that weren’t enough, he then pulled $6.50 out of his own wallet to cover the fare.

One of the bus passengers, Lynsey Jayes, witnessed the entire encounter first hand. She nabbed a picture and praised the driver on social media saying he deserved a, “huge pat on the back.”

The driver’s actions put the bus service about 10 minutes behind schedule, but Jayes affirmed nobody minded running late for such a heartwarming reason.

“It was just lovely to see, it certainly made everyone on the bus smile and he certainly brightened up a very wet and miserable morning,”Jayes, 33, later told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

People couldn’t get enough of the bus driver’s kindness.
