Henna or mehndi is applied to Indian brides for their wedding festivities. Traditionally, the intricate designs symbolize everything from love to fertility, gratitude, courage, and God.
Nowadays, it’s become customary to weave the groom’s initials into the bride’s henna. But when Jasmine Sandhu was preparing her mehndi designs with Divya Henna, she knew her beautiful temporary tattoos wouldn’t be complete without one very special family member.
It’s easy to tell that Jasmine and Ricky are very much in love.
But there’s also another man in the bride’s life — Tobie.
The little pup was abandoned in a home’s basement. When Jasmine and her mom met him, the bride-to-be knew it was love at first sight.
So, when her wedding rolled around, it only made sense that Tobie make an appearance in her wedding day henna.
He’s featured prominently on both arms.
What a fun way to incorporate one love in your life into a day celebrating another love!
Designer Divya Henna loved the idea so much, she did the same thing for another bride’s henna design.
We sure hope Tobie got to attend the wedding, too!
