Men In Suits Line Walkway To School, Amaze 370 Students With Beautiful First Day Of Class Surprise.

Summer is over for many students, but feeling motivated to go back to classes can seem like an impossible feat.

You can be sporting the best new outfit, carrying brand-new school supplies, or even get dropped off by your parents so you don’t have to ride the bus – but none of that matters if you’re not motivated to learn.

Some of the students at B.E.S.T Academy– an all-boys school in Atlanta– were, no doubt, unenthused when they had to go back to classes at the beginning of August. But when they stepped onto campus, they got an instant jolt of enthusiasm.

All 370 of the students were greeted by 70 men as they walked into school.

The community leaders, businessmen, and mentors cheered, patted the students on their backs, shook hands, and all-around made the experience of starting off the school year something to be excited about.

The men came from numerous non-profit organizations including 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Emerging 100 of Atlanta, The Collegiate 100, and the 100 Black Men of America.

Some of the welcome crew simply said, “Wake up, wake up!” while others pulled individual students aside to offer encouraging words.

One student said a man told him, “You look like you’re going somewhere. You’ll be famous soon.” The senior said of the exchange, “That was kind of special because not too many people think that of me. It was a boost in morale.”

It seems it’s true what they say: it truly does take a village.
