When Angelina Green stepped on stage at ATG, her infectious smile absolutely lit up the room.
The 13-year-old singer has been singing since “forever,” but only started getting serious with her music when her parents got divorced. She opened up about how she turned to music after her father walked out on her and her mother. Angelina and most of the audience took a moment to wipe away their gathering tears before the music began to play… but in that moment the teenager transformed into a superstar of old.
Angelina took on The Pretenders’ hit song, ‘I’ll Stand By You’ with a style and conviction all her own. It was clear from her delivery and countenance that the young woman felt every lyric in her very bones.

The judges were all smiles through her audition and leapt to their feet the moment she finished the song. For Heidi, there were no words to capture the greatness of her performance, so without hesitation she hit the Golden Buzzer.
“I think you’ve got a great voice. This is one of my favorite auditions of today,”Simon Cowell said about the performance. “You’ve made my goosebumps have goosebumps. The truth is, we don’t get many people like you for a reason because they’re hard to find. Genuinely I’m excited because I think you’re so talented.â€
