Ballroom dancing has been around since at least the 16th century, if not longer. And while we still view it as a more traditional view of dance in comparison to, say, hip hop or lyrical, the truth is, it has evolved with the passing years.
Facebook page Baila Mi Rey– Just Dance uploaded one performance that certainly proves this to be true.

In the video below, 8 couples perform a jaw-dropping routine to a mash-up of music– everything from the 90’s to showtunes to High School Musical and more. But the music isn’t the only thing they’ve mashed up; they’re also blending styles like jazz, tango, samba and more!
It turns out, the competitive routine went home with the 2nd place prize (we would have loved to see what won 1st!), but it has garnered beaucoups of praise online:
