When Brad Friesen asked Rachel, a former figure skater, if she wanted to ice skate on top of a mountain, she didn’t know what to expect… but she jumped at the chance for an adventure.
Armed with a few GoPros and a helicopter, the duo flew towards the mountains of British Columbia. At about 5,000 feet, the most beautiful sight Rachel had ever seen came into view over the horizon.
A picturesque lake nestled high on the shoulders of the mountains.

Brad landed the helicopter long enough for Rachel to lace up her skates, then used his helo like a drone to capture Rachel in action on the frozen mountain lake.

The footage will give you major chills, but not just because of the weather. Rachel’s effortless routine and Brad’s extremely precise maneuvering made the experience totally unique.
